Sezen Hussein
Sezen Hussein is a chartered management accountant and a senior director in the healthcare industry. With over 10 years experience, Sezen’s expertise and dedication propelled her into several senior leadership roles, including an advisory position at Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms. This experience provided her with invaluable insights into the intricate world of finance and strategic growth across government and public sectors.
Prior to this, Sezen spent time in a commercial role tendering and managing multi-million pound contracts across the UK & Ireland for Roche. She was able to bring a unique blend of technical proficiency, strategic acumen, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Following this she served as a financial strategist for a London-based biotech company, where she played a crucial role in supporting groundbreaking research and innovative projects.
Her exceptional skills in funding and strategic planning were instrumental in securing over £5 million in grant funds, including a notable grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which contributed to the further development of a cutting-edge DNA vaccine.
Sezen is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients by using her unique blend of technical expertise. When she’s not immersed in accounting work, Sezen enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. She’s spent many years dedicated to charities such as Nuffield Health, SANE and more recently with the RSPCA as treasurer. Driven by a deep commitment to animal welfare, Sezen was able to leverage her financial expertise and guidance to ensure the long-term sustainability of the branch, enabling it to continue its vital work in promoting and protecting the well-being of animals.
